On the other side of that coin there are plenty of people who did everything they were told by their doctor and still died.

10 years ago I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. After seeing a few close people go through hell with chemo and still dying I decided fuck it, this is my time and made the decision to do nothing. Matter of fact during that first year I ate more junk and partied hard figuring what difference did it make, I was going to die anyway. Obviously I'm still here and as far as I can tell it was a misdiagnosis, can't say for sure what the hell because I havent been back to the doctor since. But it makes me wonder how many of these cancer survivors really had cancer to begin with. Having said this, I am in no way suggesting others do the same, cancer obviously does kill people, but with the huge profits associated with the treatment (over $300,000 and in some cases over a million dollars) I do think there is a big incentive to diagnose people with cancer.
