Not a marketing drive because of the pareto ratio, in fact that's even worst than 20% makes the 80%, it is more the 1% thing of occupy wall street. Or the win lottery thing: everyone buys a ticket (every cam girl be online in mfc), but only 1 every 100,000 wins the big prizes. The reasons of this rely in mainly 2 things: 1) most of the tips also are given by an 1% of the guys, remember the 1 million tip given by a single guy recently, and 2) the million tip guys are tipping their favorite model only always her only and 3) the models who got the mega tip go in the top 20 for camscore and then get more new traffic getting new mega tipper in time for when old megatipper gone broke. In other words, after a megatipper drops the bomb, the model go in top, then the extra advertising self-sustain it like a monopoly/oligopoly loop, so you're put in top then you get more traffic then you get more tips then the tips make camscore which keeps you on top and gets you more traffic->tips->camscore->top [endless loop here].
There's no "antitrust" algorithm in MFC, adding one would be the only way to shuffle the success amongst new girls in more"fair market" terms, but it may not be good for the total sales=profits of the site, I am not sure, the lottery top rooms work better for the lottery effect; what if every model earned the same amount, no one got the dream of the million dollar earned by that one top model you can try to emulate.

So in 2015 10 months, from #1 to #50 there is a dramatic change, in 2015 #1 = 703k, #10=350k (halved in just +10), #40 = $116k (one quarter after +40, halved in +30), 49 = 55k (1/8, halved again after just 9), and #50 = 33k, lost 2/5 in just +1 position. Interesting to note that those after 40th earned "so few" just because been online few months, like 2-5 months, it is not models who been online every month. So the models being online every month lower in total earning, are making even less per month despite being online 2 to 5 times more months than these models.
Period 2009-2014 also is to be considered counting what years the models have worked. For example first 2 Jalyn, AspenRae been online 2010-2014 and made $2.3m and $1.8m (from 8m-11m tokens a year), but GinnyPotter been online one year less, 2011-2014 and made $1.8m so earning a little more than AspenRae in average (12m tokens in 2014). LexxiStar been online only 2012-2014, one year less and earned $1.7m so made even more per year (18m tokens in 2014). It is interesting to note that CrazyM/GoldenLady worked all years, from 2009 to 2014, still made only $889k, and further, her tokens dropped every year from $4.8m in 2010 to $604k in 2014. I think the earning per year is more useful/meaningful than the totals since 2009.
