"The view of the news" is for sale to the highest bidder. This is because news has turned into a "for-profit" business, and has been so for a few years now.
For example, when CNN does a story about how "toxic and deadly" the vapor from electronic cigarettes are, you can be sure that story was paid for by Big Tobacco, who are currently losing billions to e-cigs.
