People tend to rationalize everything they do and create a narrative to paint everything in a positive light and explain it as healthy and normal. But one can will never find a truly happy person that needs to control others. Dom / sub relationships are about codependency and emotional and psychological dysfunction, never love. Certainly not in a healthy relationship which requires as much giving as taking to succeed.
There was a channel in Russia that always had quotes before commercials, one I will always remember translates as "if you want to be happy,... be happy". It's worth thinking about. You daily experience is most often as positive or negative as you choose it to be.
