Members who signed up couldn't receive signup emails with their login info, etc, because TrafficHaus banned all sites and IPs and all outgoing mail was considered spam, got filtered out and couldn't reach new customers. Especially because most surfers use free email services like yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc.
If anyone could explain how to make it work without any headaches, i'd be glad to work it out.

First of all, when you are testing and trying it out, you should not use the same domain as the one you host the website. It should only be clear that you are sending the emails, it doesn't have to be same domain name.
And also, there is absolutely nothing wrong with free email services. Filtering, taking it slow and maintaining double opt-in (and make sure to remind of that fact all over the email. cause people love to forget it and smack spam button

) - this is what works. There is a lot of details, but that's the core.
Guess how many domains got blacklisted back in a day when we started this
