This is a major science fiction film. In the least, the storyline should've been original, fresh, new and exciting. Not a mish mash of stolen storylines from the previous film.
There is no excuse for this failure other than corporate greed. They created a film that was a guaranteed HIT because it was created with the exact same ingredients and format as the prior hit.
That does not constitute what film is all about. Star Wars IV was a real film. Original and unique. VII failed because it lacked the most basic elements of a film, which is a unique storyline.
You can whip out light sabres and explode ships to dazzle the eye, but without a story, it's all visual masturbation. Star Wars VII should've been about more than just explosions and hiding the plans in a droid.

Sorry to burst your bouble, but it seems that the vast majority of the 424.332 people that have rated the movie on IMDB dont share your view. And since it has generated a global box office revenue of more than $2 billion... I say your oppinion of the movie belong to a group of people that will always complain, and yet spend most of their day drinking pretentious coffee from Starbucks, watching french movies (with subtitels since they only speak English)
Hell, Even your username screams "hipster/emo/i hate everything"
Dont tie the strap on your man-purse to tight
