the noodles have to be cooked, which takes 12-15 minutes. the hot dogs are attached to the noodles, so they will be in the boiling water for 12-15 minutes. hot dogs only take 2-3 minutes of boiling to be fully cooked - less if they are cut up like this.
that means the hot dogs are overcooked. which is what i said in my post.
raw sausage might work, but that's not what the pictures show.

In Japan its easy to buy 3 minute noodles. We add the pre-cooked sausages to the noodles and wait for the boiling bubbles to return, then 3 minutes. I've never heard of 15 minute spaghetti. Usually 7-9 tops in the industrialized world anyway.
