Visitors are paying for access to a product. They are trying to determine whether or not the value is there. They begin with anxiety and doubt and your job is to overcome both as quickly as possible. They are evaluating the presentation and attempting to determine what they will get if they buy and whether or not the value is there. They see your site and instantly conclude that you are inept and reason that if that is your best effort to showcase the product, then the product must also suck.
