Absolutely a shame!
The people were obviously trying only to be kind & I know this is the wrong thing to do, but I'd rather hear more stories like this than war, apart from the fact the Bison had to be euthanize of course.
Why did the ranchers not take the bison to a ranch or somewhere to be looked after, is there none? Similar to the retreats for lions & rhino in Africa or bears in the US?
