When I was in the Marine Corps we used the M16A2. It is the same exact weapon as the AR15. The only difference is the M16 can fire fully automatic.

Saying an AR15 isn't an assault rifle is ridiculous. An assault rifle is designed to kill people, and this is what civilians are using it for. This is why no one goes on a killing spree with a long rifle.
