I had two excruciating surgeries on my lower spine, spent 45 days in hospital back in the spring, still convalescing from it in fact, and anytime I start getting all down about my situation I remind self that there are always others who have it far worse.

If it's any comfort at all my sis-in-law had it, fought it, and has been in remission for about 10 years now.
