As far as I remember we have studied AK47 (obviously
))), hand grenades (F1 and RGD-5 systems), anti-personnel mines, the action of toxic substances, the methods of bio-chemical protection and radiation-protection (dosimeters, use of gas masks and protective suits), the military first aid kits and the most basic first aid techniques (tourniquet and tires, resuscitation) etc. That was a standard and mandatory school course just like physics and mathematics.
