It will be interesting to see the affect. It will take a few decades. The entitlement of th emillennial and the participation trophy generation doesn't make results less important when they enter the job market. In the same way fake news can propagate and propagate, but it won't change what are actually facts. It will affect certain realities greatly, but it won't change the foundation of most things. At some point the truth will catch up and burn people.
Trump as an example. "Fake" news certainly helped him get elected, however it will not affect the metrics that will eventually come out of his administration once his policies take hold.
