Here's why some people are so blind it's easy to fuck them.
If people were taxed 5% more to enable clean energy. That would be good for the people of that country. Clean energy reduces imports of fossil-based fuels, creates jobs in the country and those wages are ploughed back into the economy.
Long term it will reduce the costs of energy. If planned right. US made Solar Panels in the US would solve your problems.
So why doesn't it happen? The old industries producing energy have bought the decision makers.
