That's because (IMHO) most of those that post on social media have no idea what they are talking about - they just take sides and spout what ever the party line is...(i.e. Joshua above thinking I'm anywhere close to being liberal)
I just lived through all of that back in the 50s and 60s - along with the J. Birch society and many other conservative movements I was involved with, so I know the basis of why politicians make specific references to key phrases...it's a base building exercise
Same as his Make America Great slogan...that was Reagan's slogan and he wanted to appeal to that crowd
