Whatever you think. I KNOW what the word "wire tapped" always meant. You can say that's not true until the cows come home. But it doesn't change that.
Wiretapping was exactly what was done for decades because all communications were wired.
"Wiretapping" always meant eavesdropping on conversations. And "bugging" meant placing a hidden device to capture conversations.
