I'm Russian and everything he said is correct. Chechnya formally is a Russian territory but in fact it has nothing to do with Russia. It's a Muslim state controlled by a single man who is like a Sultan there. They live by Sharia. The Russian law is a formal thing in Chechnya. Many people constantly just disappear there and nobody cares. Nobody, including you... while they are not gay. Two years ago Russian FSB group has came to Chechnya to question a suspect in murder of Nemtsov and was unable to do that, because it was simple blocked by Chechen police. Make your conclusions now.

Don't post bullshit. Russia is not anti-gay at all. We have no anti-gay laws or something like that. Most of pop celebrities here are open gays. There are more gay clubs in Moscow than in some average EU country.
Yes, most of Russians are non-tolerant to gay parades. So what? Do you know what is democracy? It is a power of majority. If you are a gay, a zoophile, a geranophile, a coprofag or anything else - be it, nobody cares. Just don't show it off on the streets to the others - respect the feelings of majority. The main reason why gay parades are forbidden in Russia is that police may not be able to protect gay minority against the straight majority. Wanna parade? Go to a gay club and do it there. What's the problem? And course it's not a good idea to live in Chechnya or any other Muslim state if you are a gay.
