Barry-xlovecam knows it better than you. Chechnya is Chechnya. Russia is Russia. These are different republics. Chechnya has its own flag, its own laws and even its own president. So Chechnya is not Russia and never been. On the other hand, both republics are parts of the Russian Federation.
