Not for too much actually. Almost everything (cars, clothing, electronics etc) is more expensive here than in the Sates or the EU. That's why Russians do shopping tours to those countries. The food prices (if it's a local product) are similar to the ones in the USA (+/-). The gasoline is much cheaper in USD after the financial crisis. Now it's about $0,7 USD for a liter (~$2.6 USD for a gallon). You can spend $1000 USD to rent 2 or even 3 bedroom apartments in Moscow for a month. Not luxury ones, of course - no pool, no security and no underground garage/parking for that money. $1000 is the money I and my wife are usually spend to buy food and pay for utilities during one month - we are working at home, so we are eating at home too.
