It's not a case of a single nuke going off, it would be 100s.. That's where the whole nuclear winter/desert idea comes from.. That many nukes going off world wide would have fall off..
Sure people would survive but it's not gonna be fun..

2) I'm talking about tactical nukes (just a few times more powerful than those exploded over Hiroshima and Nagasaki) that have to be used for rather small targets like the US aircraft carrier battle groups, the missile defense systems in Poland etc. Those are not WMDs. The missiles that will be launched at Las Vegas and other cities is a way different story. Those are
strategic ones. One SS-18 missile aka Satan is able to burn out a whole state like Texas. So please don't confuse tactical nukes with strategic ones.
3) I have used Las Vegas as en example of a city, located near the nuke testing zone.
