However the best porn posters on reddit appear porn passionate but also subtly advertise.
There's a few different methods, one includes watermarking images that you own and uploading them. However if every image you upload is watermarked with your site it may raise some red flags and be removed.
The other method is including your website as the source for a gif or photoset in the comments. This can also be done within the imgur description for extra traffic.
The key with marketing on reddit is to have a balanced mix of content. If all of your posts are constantly plugging the same site over and over, often times you will find yourself getting banned pretty quickly.
If you are new to reddit I also reccomend giving your account 1-3 months to age before you begin aggressively posting.
Last but not least start your own subreddit and occasionally cross post posts from it to more popular subreddits and you will see a LOT of traffic start to come to your sub. Include your website in the description of the sub for extra traffic. Again the key here is not to spam.

Hit the nail on the head with everything here. With a relatively minimal amount of grunt work Reddit is a great way to generate traffic.
I'd add that if you are looking to make a new subreddit hang tight on that for a bit. Reddit will be phasing out custom CSS styling on subreddits in favor of a "redesigned desktop version" of the site. They've provided virtually no details on what the redesign will entail and what it will mean for subreddit admins/mods.
Having styled numerous subs which took anywhere from 2 or 3 to upwards of 10 hours I'm pretty fucking hot about as are mods from a lot of big subs.
I cannot post links but if you're so inclined an announcement is currently stickied to the top of /r/modnews
