If you're talking respectfully about a group of people you don't call them faggots, fag, queers, ni**ers, monkeys, inbreds, spooks, chinks, kikes, dikes, lesbos, etc.
Queer and fag are both demeaning terms, as we know.
Gays in their 60's and 70's tried creating a movement "owning" the term Queer and taking it back as a positive and the "movement" fell flat as so many were tormented, beat, discriminated against, etc. using that term that they weren't able to turn it to a positive and seeing it used by the community backfired.
Those same people now are insisting heterosexuals be called "
cis gender" and that LGBT be called
LGBTQ adding Q for "Questioning"
