The situation should have been dealt with decades ago. Hotels, offices, etc have to have sprinkler systems and working fire alarms. UK laws omit this on older buildings.
The problem is trying to house the millions of poor with taxpayers money. You think Labour have the solution, but they planned to build more cut-price housing and refused to stop low-wage migrants entering the UK. Creating more of a problem.
The people working on this are trying to look good rather than being good.
