Happens here all the time too. Maybe it's easier to test and reproduce with an affiliate user instead of an admin one.
Also, could you please integrate the login completely into the page instead of using these popup windows? TBH it's quite annoying currently. And it might solve the issue, maybe it's a chronological order problem. (It might be redirecting the main window before the login process finishes completely.)
