One year later: And the Democrat Party finds itself leaderless. Destroyed in the Presidential, Congressional, Senate, and state races across the board.
And in 4 special elections in 2017...they have lost ALL 4 of them.
Did the Dems really fall that far in a year?
I don't think so.
I think the fake news was trying to convince us that the Dems were way stronger than they ever were on the theory that perception is reality.
Just like they are trying to do again with investigations into "Russian Collusion" with Trump...even though all the Intelligence Agency's AND the Democrat leadership in the Senate and the House have all admitted that there is ZERO evidence of that.
Yet they just keep pushing it. Saying vague things about "let's see where the investigation takes us"
In other words...they have an investigation in SEACH of something to investigate.
Or as communist dictator Joseph Stalin's political sidekick Beria told Stalin: "Show me the man and I'll find you the crime"
This video is great. CNN's resident Democrat Party crony who makes legal pronouncements against Trump all the time...Jeffrey Toobin...is taken to the woodshed by the man who TAUGHT him in law school: Alan Dershowitz
You know those lying pieces of shit on CNN just hate it when this kind of thing happens on the air.

Here is what is interesting to me. Had Hillary won, the news would have likely been correct in their assessment a year ago (or at least partly so). Had Hillary won, the Republicans would have been looking at an election where they lost seats in the both the House and Senate and lost the White House to a candidate that was under FBI investigation. They would have blamed Trump and his supporters saying he hijacked the party for personal profit and they would have set out to obstruct Hillary as much as possible. Imagine how the Supreme Court nomination would have gone (although I think had she won they might have suddenly approved Merrick Garland while Obama was still in office for fear Hillary would nominate someone far more liberal). Had Hillary won, the Republican party would be in chaos. When Trump won it sent the Democrats into that chaos and is showing that the Republicans clearly were not read as the party itself lacks much of an identity.
To me, the Democrats made two major errors in the last election. 1. They basically bowed down to Hillary and even did shady things to make certain she was going to be the nominee. She was a bad candidate and the party bet everything on her. 2. They fell for the culture war bullshit. Republicans don't pass laws pertaining to who can piss in what bathroom or whether or not a business can refuse to serve gay clients because they really believe that shit will help everyday people's lives. They do it because they know their base will eat it up and the Democrats will fight it and get dragged into a culture war. This time around it worked so well the Democrats came off like a party that was more concerned with these things than if people have jobs or healthcare.
