Losing is never good and I know a lot of Democrats are pissed. They wanted Ossoff to attack Trump and he didn't, he mostly stuck to the issues. However, if you are a Democrat you have to see this as a bit of good news. Yes, they spent a shitload of money, but, like you say, the guy wasn't even living in that district (for good reason) and it is a district that has been in Republican hands since 1979. In the last election Price won the seat by more than 20 points and now the margin of victory was down to just under 5. So the fact that they were competitive in a place they have never been even close is some good news for them. Still, in the end, they lost and by the 2018 elections, this particular election will be long since forgotten so it likely won't have much impact on anything going forward.
