I agree with colmike, never heard of any normal person who has successfully upgraded their RAM on a Macbook Air.
They charge quite a bit to add it when you order one, fully aware that this is basically your only chance to change the RAM. Live and learn, next time, make sure to order with the maximum RAm already from the start.
