Those people were elected officials doing a job. Trump on the campaign is not a elected official and he doesn't have the authorization to make deals on behalf of the US with foreign agents. It's against the fucking law. Just like Reagan broke the law when he had Iran keep the hostages until after the election.. It's called the Logan Act...
