American Man arrested in Australia for slitting kangaroo's throat in 'abhorrent' killing
A man has been arrested after a video was posted online of a kangaroo being killed by having its throat slashed.
The footage showed a man approaching the animal that appears to be wounded, then grabbing its tail and slashing its neck with a large knife.
The person filming the attack can be heard laughing.
A 43-year-old man was arrested in Melbourne on Wednesday evening and charged with one count of destroying protected wildlife, said Victoria state's Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.
