I try to go with original parts of the era whenever possible because it increases the value of the car. Next week I'm getting delivered from Manitoba a 1930 Cadillac 16 and I'm told that it's in absolute pieces. I plan on restoring the machine back to original factory condition and leave it as a future gift to my soon to be born child.
