Most gang killings are of the same race -- take that into account.
However, it would be safe to say: that notwithstanding the past years prior to 9/11 Muslims are not responsible for much murder in America.
2,753 WTC victims' remains have been positively identified now in 2017 -- they were victims of Islamic Extremists. Or the US Government if you buy that CT crap.
There have been other incidents afterwards -- over 100 more have died in America (only) -- victims of Islamic Extremists. Hundreds have died from Islamic Extremist mass murder in Europe. 100K or more have died from Islamic Extremist acts in the Middle East.
Tens of thousands have died in UN Sanctioned war among the civilian Muslim population as well as the Islamic Extremists and other factions in opposition to the Syrian, Turkish. Iraqi, Saudi, Iranian (the list goes on) governments -- as well as those governments soldiers' deaths.
This is a slow motion global war that has been going on for 16 years -- that is a very long time -- unheard of in modern history.
This is a people problem -- not a race or religion problem. Only a simpleton would assume that
