So far the only investigating into Democrats involves Podesta Group. This seems to be routine. This company is owned by Tony Podesta, the brother of Hillary campaign chairman John Podesta. The work they did for Ukraine involved creating closer relations between Ukraine and Europe, which was a goal of the US government. There is really nothing illegal about this at all.

This seems to be tied into Manafort. However, these two items seems to be completely different. Manafort worked for the former President, which was more or less supported and funded by Moscow. The work the Podesta Group did was unrelated, and for a different Ukrainian government - this was a pro US and pro Europe Ukrainian government.

But by all means let's investigate this until we know exactly what happened. Let's continue investigating this no matter where it leads, and let's pull every string.
