As for Fox News suddenly being throttled...why wasn't that happening 2 years ago or all the years before that?
So far I have seen 2 instances that people brought up in this thread of companies trying to leverage internet speed prior to 2 years ago.
In both cases...existing laws and competition took care of it.
That's not me "supporting" anything...that's just me pointing out what Al Gore might call an Uncomfortable Truth.
I AM of the opinion that we have too many laws on the books already.
And this wasn't even a law...it was a regulation imposed by unelected bureaucrats.
If the govt. wants to take control of the web...then CONGRESS should have the balls to do it.
Allowing unelected deep state bureaucrats to rule over us is a cheap way for Congress to avoid making decisions that might cost them votes.
AND it takes away OUR power as voters to vote people in or out based on these decisions.

There are Trump fanboys who support this. I was actually thinking of people I know personally more than those in this thread.
As far as two years ago, that isn't true. The entire debate started mid 2000s because Comcast tried to throttle p2p sites. Comcast and TW have been battling the FCC over this issue until 2015 when it was finally settled - until now. However, up until that point, communication companies have actually tried to throttle or block during the windows of appeal, etc.
The FCC has maintained it wanted to keep a "free" internet for decades. ISPs always had them as their enemy whenever they tried. Now that they have their puppet leading the fcc, they will be able to do what they want without fear.
Regarding my examples, I was only half kidding. I doubt comcast would be that brazen to do something like that so soon after the ruling, but you know as soon as a right wing site goes does, Alex Jones is going to be blaming the liberals at Comcast.
