In my opinion it's not going to happen.
As I see it the US internally already accepted that NK will (or is) a nuclear power, that can't be reverted "easily", especially if China is not going to help.

IMHO The US leadership already accepted that ~2 months ago, and their recent engagement in the middle east is just a way to deflect and to sell this "solution" with NK to the public without losing their face.

Now, by using the UN sanctions, they'll ride it along for the next decades to keep Kim calm, and in the long run the whole problem will fade out some day as the story with Cuba...
