On a side note, I read a story a few weeks ago about techniques used to gather voter data and draw congressional boundaries. One of the things they do is use Google Streetview to see what types of cars people in different areas drive. They have found that if a neighborhood has homes that have mostly sedans in the driveways that area is likely to vote Democrat while neighborhoods with mostly trucks are Republican.
The science that now goes into campaigns and trying to manipulate the vote is pretty interesting and scary.
