If your earnings are based on a very few spenders then 1 spender quitting can make your sales fall like a rock, especially if you had a whale.
The more spenders you have the less variance you will usually see but still one whale going away can make those sales numbers just drop.
Spending on Cams, like any other porn niche can vary widely with the seasons/weather.
Winter time, when it is cold, people tend to spend more time inside on the computer. If there is a warm spell then people spend less time sitting on their ass and therefore spend less money on cams.
Right around New Years this year the U.S/ encountered a very nasty freeze for a large part of the country. If I look at my second half of December sales last year and compare them to this year the sales were basically flat. Right about the same spending.
If I compare the first half of January last year against this year, I have about a 25% increase in spending this year. I attribute that mainly to the cold weather at the beginning of the month. This is based on looking at the revenue file that CB give us along with looking at what else was going on.
Right now a lot of the U.S. is experiencing an unseasonable warm spell and I see sales being down a bit compared with last period but they are up a little compared with the same period last year. I have not investigated what might be going on if anything.
The main thing is to keep adding sign ups so you have more spenders going forward. It takes several months usually for a sign up to convert to a spender and you want as many spenders as possible. Whales are nice but if they leave they can kill you unless you have a whole lot of spenders backing it up.
