Back in those days it wasn't anything to see a shotgun in the back window of a pickup in a school parking lot either. Late 80's in FL we had police officers and drug dogs walking around the school all day.

I grew up in a small logging town in the 80's. When it was hunting season kids would bring their guns to school and check them in at the office. All year long you could see guns in truck gun racks in the student parking lot. My best friend made a crossbow in wood shop class. It was such a different time.
