Lets just think about that for a moment Grape.. Do you think there is a big conspiracy that everyone gets together and say look.. We are only letting lefty's teach at college and be reporters..
....or do you think that maybe there are certain industries that tend to attract a certain type of person. You know kinda like how Militia's always attract far right wing nutters or that nursing usually attracts women or men tend to be engineers. Yea I'd say that teaching usually attracts people who are "open" minded. Open minded people tend to be more progressive and or liberal.. like a religious school would attract teachers who believe in jesus and people who are generally conservative and not so open minded to other's beliefs or new ideas..
Liberal = open to accepting change
Conservative = set in their ways
Obviously universities will attract people who are open to new ideas vs people who are set in their ways.. The news media is the same way.. The news tends to attract people who are more liberal minded while radio attracts people who are conservative.. How many progressive raido shows are out there Grape compared to Conservative talk shows? Not many...
