There are local prices and thai prices. But mostly there are differences cause the Thai know the local prices and most tourist forget to negotiate. I Always start with 50% of the asking price. They say a price, you pretend to walk away and you get a lower price. |
this is the normal corruption that you will face in every country with many poor people.
i lived for 6 years in the Caribbean and things have been worse there.
there is no doubt that you can blame things in every country in this world. the point is how you can arrange yourself with the situation. if you ask for the WHY you will find many logic reasons and you can learn a lot if you are able to see and understand the backgrounds of a culture.
