A nurse I knew got a pit bull puppy. Raved about him being gentle, she’s raising him right, etc. She’d be upset if I talked about the dangers of pit bulls. “ I’m raising him right” and he had training, blah blah blah.
A year later she moved. She had reconstructive surgery after the dog bit her face and took out a chunk of flesh on her chin.
She blamed herself because she’d eaten a donut and had crumbs on her mouth. I told her I’d do that and my dog would simply lick up the crumbs.
Training is great but some breeds instinctively attack or run and hide.
That Mom was too busy piercing her face to watch her child. Keep dangerous dogs away from children and respectable people.
