he made it as a Portuguese child, not wanting school, but to kick the ball around, as many Spanish & Portuguese children do, similar to the 60s in the UK...
Now, most British kids want to stare at the xboz or playsitting (intended).
He was in Manchester & as you say, yes, RM pay money to get the best, then turn them into superstars.
