Better start with something easier, and work your way up. Even top professionals freeze off toes, fingers and their nose tip on such a trip.

Go to a civilized region in Alaska/Canada where you could get help quickly and spend a few weeks outside to gain some experience first...

Then try hiking ~1000 miles under such conditions...
