but all European countries (some more, some less) have safety nets for their people like health insurance, unemployement benefits or social insurance. Paid partly by all citizens, companies and the government itself.
And it makes sense, the numbers prove it.
I don't know anyone who is in large debt because he either wanted to study or had a major health incident.
And the overall tax burden in the US is not so much lower, they just spend a shitload of money for weapons. Cut the military budget in half and take that money into universities, health insurance, social insurance and the US could be a paradise (for more than the top 1%)
