Actually, this is not a WAGE ISSUE but more of a DEMOGRAPHICS issue. As the US non-immigrant birth rate continues to stay below replacement level, there's a BIG DANGER the US will turn into SPAIN where there are TONS of retirees (with benefits) and NOT ENOUGH YOUNG WORKERS to fund the system.... Japan's trying to solve this problem WITHOUT immigration. Net result? Avg Japanese age is 46 and government ministers publicly saying old folks should 'hurry up and die!' I'm not sure that 'solution' is viable...
