Even if you set aside the sexual assault claims - and we shouldn't - Kavanaugh is objectively unfit to preside as a judge on any court. In his testimony he alleged (with zero evidence) that he was the target of a democratic conspiracy funded by big money interest for payback "on behalf of the Clintons". This is an extreme accusation which requires evidence, and Kavanaugh provided none. He peddled a conspiracy theory
as a federal judge.
After leveling those ridiculous claims he was combative, argumentative, and unhelpful in his testimony. He has shown himself to be entirely partisan and incapable of legal objectivity. This - not the assault accusations - is why
2,400 Law Professors oppose his confirmation, along with the American Bar Association.
This is a great loss for everyone, Republican or Democrat, because it taints the Supreme Court with partisanship.
