if you're spending time uploading unique content and writing unique titles and all that, you should write more copy for your video descriptions. Google loves unique copy--the more of it, the better
You won't get anywhere with duplicate content unless you have really good time-on-site and bounce rate (which you won't get with a wordpress tube) and build a lot of backlinks, and you'll probably end up penalized eventually anyway
