I haven't seen that reported anywhere Mark. Where did you see that?
I wouldn't put it past anyone these days to do something like that in this political crazed climate.
But as far as I know it was simply zoomed in.
By the way...I don't think Acosta "assaulted" that girl at all. But by the standards the MEDIA and the Democrats created themselves over the past couple of years...he did.
If Corey Lendowski stopped a female reporter from grabbing candidate Trump by the arm and THAT was "assault"...and the female reporter was featured on CNN and MSNBC over and over as they "comforted" her for being "traumatized"...then turnabout is fair play.
If the so-called "left" wants to make a bunch of insane "rules"...then they have to be willing to play by them as well.
I personally think Acosta has acted totally unprofessionally. He never asks any substantive questions and has NEVER provided the public with any valuable information (you know...the actual NEWS).
Instead, EVERY TIME he is called on...he starts making speeches and insulting and attacking the administration.
It would be like me "asking" you: "Hey Mark, since you are a total asshole and a piece of shit and everything you do is wrong...what do you say to the critics of your newest horrible policy?"
That's not a question. That's grandstanding. And he's HOPING to get the President pissed.
The happiest person on Earth after that press conference and subsequent loss of his WH credentials is...Jim Acosta.
He has been wrangling for his own "show" for over 2 years now. This is the event that will probably put him over the top for it. Of course...first he will have to stay where he is while CNN tries to "win" the battle to get his credentials back.
I think Trump should give it back to him. Acosta does more to boost the President in the eyes of his supporters than any other person.
EDIT: Just to clarify...the theoretical question to Mark does NOT reflect the way I think of Mark. I've gotten to know him a bit and he is a great person and businessman. He is from Canada...but I have forgiven him for that. lol
