The article says that over the air viewing increased from 9% to 14%. That means that at best, 86% of people watch TV the modern way, via the Internet, or possibly the older way of Cable and Satellite TV. Chasing 14% of a market could be interesting but you would have to find something they really want to buy that is related to the whole cord-cutting thing.
In Montreal, CFCF shut down its analog signal to Channel 12 and broadcast in digital on channel 51 until August 31 2011 when it moved it to Channel 12. This means that you need an Digital HD Antenna and a decoder. This isn't "old fashioned TV" so I don't know why the article has that title exactly...
They are right though - Cable is too expensive and the content sucks. The best thing to do now is to switch to pure Internet TV. Download Netflix and the Bell Fibe App to your smart TV or tablet and you can have all of the channels and content you want for far less than cable.
