The feminine Gay stereotype has always pushed the trans spectrum of people as being Gay, which they aren't. Most transgender men see themselves as a woman and feel they have to change their bodies and physical appearance to accommodate that. That's not a Gay man. Gay men are men into other men.

A lot of transgenders start out in the Gay community and realize they aren't Gay they're transgender. The religious right & media always focuses on those people in the Gay community and say they are typical for our community, they are not. This is why you've seen a lot of effort of separation lately in the Gay community to identify transgender non-binary and all these other things that are not Gay. They are very different and not Gay
