Amazon has already been buying their own freight trailers for a few years now. They are buying tons of them. Yet they don't own a single truck of their own, they pay other companies to haul their trailers.
IMO it's just obvious they are waiting for driver less trucks. The thing is the roads in this country are no where near ready for driver less cars much less big trucks.. The major highways are in extremely bad shape and Congress doesn't want to spend any money to fix them..
